Rickie Darrell Bryant, 54 of Whitman, WV, departed this life on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Logan Regional Medical Center.

He was born September 19, 1971 in Chicago, ILL the son of the late Matthew and Easter Marie Bryant.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, David Bryant and two sisters, Angie Bryant and Joyce Bryant.

Rickie was a loving companion, father and friend. He enjoyed being outdoors, going 4-wheeling, and gardening. He loved building things and shooting guns.

Those left to cherish his memory and mourn his passing includes, his companion of 27 years, Sharon Epperhart of Whitman; five children, Katelynn (Billy) White of Whitman, Eric (Sara) Epperhart of Holden, Kristen (Alex) Miller of Whitman, Travis Epperhart of Whitman and Brandon (Haley) Epperhart of Omar; seven grandchildren who he loved dearly, Hallie, Isabella and Camilla White all of Whitman, Tinsley Epperhart of Holden, Brayden Neece of Holden, and Haileigh and Hannah Miller of Whitman; two great grandchildren, Naomi Epperhart of Omar and Alaya Vandaff of Whitman; three brothers, Danny (Lori) Bryant, Glenn (Dewanna) Bryant, and Matthew (Andrea) Bryant; three sisters, Doris Gene Bryant, Ina Avonelle Bryant, and Kathy (Roger) Bryant; and a host of nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.

Services will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, January 11, 2026 at Freeman Funeral Home, with Scotty Dingess officiating. Burial will follow at the Bryant Ridge Cemetery, Harts, WV.

Visitation will be on Sunday, January 11, 2026 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Eric Epperhart, Brandon Epperhart, Billy White, Larry Allen, Matthew Bryant, Carl Bryant, Andrew Vance, Anthony Bryant, Bruce Blair and Nicholas Harper.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
