John Thomas "Tommy" Jones, Jr. Obituary

John Thomas “Tommy” Jones, Jr., a resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2026, at the age of fifty-eight. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and known by many as “the Man, the Myth, the Legend.” Tommy loved children and would always treat them as his own. He loved his daughter, Jordan, with all his heart and thought she hung the moon. Tommy will be greatly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.


He is survived by his parents, J.T. Jones, Sr. and Susie Jones; daughters, Jordan Jones and Kelly Stephens; sons, Tyler Stephens and Tony Armstrong; brothers, Kenneth Jones and Todd Jones; grandchildren, River Armstrong, Colston Armstrong, Mackenzie Brister, Myles Brister, Zoey Stephens; special friend, Shannon White; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other family.


Tommy is preceded in death by his aunts, Vera Tindall, Ruby Tindall, Janet Walker; and uncle, T.E. Tindall.
