Age 74, of Windsor, formerly of Ellershouse, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Saturday, January 3, 2026 in Dykeland Lodge, Windsor. Born September 17, 1951, in Windsor, she was a daughter of the late Emerson Leroy and Edna Gladys (Stevenson) Reynolds.
A kind caring soul, not just for two-legged individuals, but four legged ones as well! Once you met her, her laugh, humour and kindness made you remember her and love her. She started her working life caring for residents at Bells Nursing Home in Falmouth, then continuing caring for others at Payzant Memorial Hospital, then Hants Community Hospital. She stepped away from that to raise her two children and nurture numerous others in her home. She gave up that and worked alongside her husband in fulfilling his dream of owning and running a country store where she and her family settled down in Ellershouse. It was hard work but the stories she would tell, with her laughter, showed that she enjoyed the many friends and acquaintances she made. The families she watched grow and the dogs that were always welcomed inside always brought joy to her. Her life may not have been an easy one but she met every turn or bump with love, humour and grace.
Ann is survived by her husband of 54 years, Grant; daughter, Shannon (Greg) Murphy; grandchildren, Alyssa (Nick) Whitehead, William (Brandi) Whitehead, Mackenzie Whitehead and Cassandra Whitehead; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Parker Armstrong; brother, Jerry (Elizabeth) Reynolds; sisters, Lynn Burns and Joan (Malcolm) Burgess; sister-in-law, Paulette (Terry) Frizzle; niece, Angie; and nephews, Matt, Kyle, Todd and Brent.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by son, Craig.
Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). Details regarding a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Interment will be held in Centre Falmouth Cemetery at a future time yet to be determined.
