Roy Joseph Trahan Obituary

Roy Joseph Trahan, 92, a resident of Houma, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 3, 2026, while surrounded by his loving family.


He is survived by his granddaughter, Brooke Trahan-Sevin and husband Scott; daughter-in-law, Tammie Trahan; sisters, Alice LeBoeuf and Judy Yawn and husband Herman; and several nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Wanda Trahan; son, Jerry "J.T." Trahan; parents, Loveless and Bernice Favre Trahan; siblings, Alvin, Albert "Bee", Wilbert, George, Ray, Raymond "Moose" Trahan, Pearl Conner, and Betty Pontiff.


Roy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing, bowling,  playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. He was known for his sweet nature and kind heart, and will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.


Visitation will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church from 9:00 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery II.


The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to his nieces Sandra, Mona, and Marilyn for always being there for him as well as the compassionate staff at Terrebonne Place assisted living for providing excellent care and compassion to him during his short time there.
