Tana S. Craun, 78, of Bargersville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026. Born on July 10, 1947, in Marion, Indiana, she lived a life marked by compassion, dedication, and a deep love for her family and community.
A proud graduate of Marion High School’s Class of 1965, Tana built a successful career in the insurance industry. She devoted over two decades to STAR Insurance before retiring in 2015. Her professionalism and warmth left a lasting impression on colleagues and clients alike.
On July 29, 1972, Tana married the love of her life, John “Jack” Craun. Their marriage was a partnership filled with mutual respect and affection until Jack’s passing on March 5, 2015. Together they built a blended family that brought Tana immense joy and pride.
Tana is lovingly remembered by her children, Mitchell (Anne) Craun and Amanda Suasnabar; stepchildren Rick Craun and David Craun; grandchildren Mollie (Seth) Payne, Natalie Craun, Cory Craun, Aracely Suasnabar, Maxim Suasnabar, Matthew Craun, and Eric (Emily) Craun; as well as several great-grandchildren who brought light to her later years.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jack; her parents, Donal and Betty (Clapp) Mullinix; her brothers, David Mullenix, Mike Mullenix and Randy Mullenix; and one cherished grandson, Chase Parrish.
Tana had a passion for flower gardening and found great peace among her blooms. She was happiest when surrounded by family—especially her grandchildren—and rarely missed their sporting events. A true sports enthusiast herself, she cheered for the Chicago Bears and all Indiana University teams.
Her faith was central to her life. As an active member of Mt. Olive Methodist Church, Tana gave generously of her time through the Women’s Circle ministry. She also contributed to her community through involvement with the Marion Lion's Club and the Insurance Women's Club.
Those who knew Tana will remember her as kind-hearted and considerate—a loving mother and grandmother whose outgoing nature meant she never met a stranger. Her easygoing spirit made others feel welcome wherever she went.
