Kathleen Elaine Dann of Lapeer, age 73, died Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 9, 2026, at Rossell Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home. A private burial will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Genesee County Humane Society.
Kathleen was born in Flint, Michigan on February 25, 1952, the daughter of Robert and Louise (Chase) Craig. She married James Dann on September 10, 2011, in New York. Kathleen worked as a Registered Nurse for over 30 years. She began her career at McLaren and then worked as a travel nurse before working with West Michigan Heart and then at a nursing home in New York. They returned to the Grand Rapids area where she retired from U of M. She was an avid football fan, especially U of M and Detroit Lions. Kathleen enjoyed quilting, gardening in her raised garden beds, canning, and making wine. She had fished four of five Great Lakes and in Alaska. Together with her husband, they enjoyed traveling and even saw a Mass by the Pope in Rome. Kathleen made friends wherever she went. Being a mom was her greatest joy, and she loved spending time with her kids and grandchildren.
Kathleen is survived by her husband, James; children, Elizabeth and husband Dennis Fisher, Christian “C.J.” and wife Brianne Wolfe; grandchildren, Morgan, Madison, Mackenzie, Isabella, Hannah, Olivia, Channing, Nathaniel, Christian; great-granddaughter, Presley; siblings, Robert and wife Mary Craig, Kristine and husband Clarence Frappier; and daughter-in-law, Jamie Wolfe. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jason Wolfe; sister, Diane Lee; and brother, Mark Craig.
