Evelyn Carol Dyer, 84, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026 in Modesto, California. Born in 1941 to Edmund and Martha Nies, Evelyn spent her early years in both Stockton and Manteca, California. In 1960 Evelyn married Don Dyer, and together they lived in Stockton and raised two children. Evelyn also dedicated over 30 years to teaching piano, first at Trinity Lutheran School in Stockton, and the teaching from her home. She is remembered fondly by several generations of piano students. Evelyn will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Evelyn is survived by her daughter and son-in-law; Susan and Bill Patterson, her son and daughter-in-law; Paul and Michele Dyer, her four grandsons; Zachary (Heather) Patterson, Joshua (Susan) Patterson, Jackson Dyer and MacKenzy Dyer, and her great-granddaughter; Poppy Patterson. She was preceded in death by her husband Don Dyer in 1998.
