Michael Francis Meyer Obituary

With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Michael F. Meyer, age 74, of Larkspur,
Colorado, on January 3, 2026. Mike was born on February 27, 1951, in Clinton, Iowa, to
Katherine E. (Coffee) and Francis A. Meyer.

Mike was just shy of a fiftyyear career in legal recruiting, a field in which he was deeply
respected. His life, however, was defined by far more than his work. A lifelong musician, Mike
performed in several bands as a lead singer, keyboardist, and occasional percussionist—always
keeping life in rhythm and those around him in good spirits.

He had a profound love for animals, from the tiny hummingbirds that made his home their own
to the pets he cared for and the wildlife that crossed his path. He had a genuine respect for
nature and all living things.

Mike was a passionate advocate for youth sports and a dedicated coach, guiding teams from
Little League to American Legion baseball. In his later years he also played senior softball in
Arizona and Colorado. He helped build multiple baseball fields and, as many would say, is surely
shaping a new field in heaven.

In every community he called home, Mike emerged as a natural leader. His volunteerism was
generous, consistent, and impactful, touching countless lives. His presence filled every room
with warmth, joy, and positivity.

He formed lasting friendships across all chapters of his life, and the outpouring of love from
those who knew him speaks to the depth of his character. Above all, Mike’s love for his wife,
Diana, was unwavering and tender. He was profoundly proud to walk through life with her by
his side.

A true force of nature—full of music, love, and laughter—Mike left the world better, brighter,
and more in tune.

Mike is survived by his wife, Diana; his son, Mike D. Meyer; his stepdaughter, Kathleen Whipple;
his three sisters, Ann Louise (Ed) Agnew, Mary Kay Brandt (Skip, deceased), and Trish (Luke) Fagan; Sister-in-law Sandy (Doug) McLean, Brother-in-law Gary (Tricia) Haas, three grandchildren;
and several cousins and nieces and nephews.
