Duncan Coletrane Light “Trane”, a resident of New Richmond, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at the age of 21. He was the son of Stephen (Rebecca) Light and Sherry Light. Brother of Harrison Carter (Claire) Light, Stevie Genevieve Light, and Dawson Wells. Grandson of William and Nancy Light, and Tom and Linda Duncan. Great-grandson of the late William and Dorothy Light, the late Rev. Charles and Thelma Harrison, the late Afton and Leah Hensley, and the late Frank and Ica Duncan. Trane was also the nephew of Sheldon Light, Philip Light, and Tommy Duncan Jr. He is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.

Trane loved trucks and all things mechanical. He will be remembered as bringing a light and a smile into every room he came into. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to someone in need and he never met a stranger. He was a born leader who always wore his heart on his sleeve and he will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

The family will host visitation at the First Baptist Church of New Richmond on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, on Saturday, January 10, 2026, also at the church. Interment will follow at Pierce Township Cemetery. Following interment, the family will host a gathering at the Green Kayak in New Richmond. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of New Richmond, 213 Western Avenue, New Richmond, Ohio 45157.
