LaVerne B. Skornia (nee Waldbuser)

Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Saturday, January 3rd, 2026 at the age of 81. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard J. Skornia, Sr.; cherished mother of Richard J. (Donna) Skornia, Jr. and the late Dawn Rene and the late Shaun David Skornia; dear daughter of the late Frederick and Agnes Waldbuser (nee Grumich) and sister of the late Little Agnes Waldbuser, Marie (Walter) Ruegg, Margaret (Freddie) Pappaspanos, Dorothy (Julius) Enke, Dolores (John) Lee, and Lorraine (James) Campbell. She was our beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, niece, great-niece, aunt, great-aunt, cousin, and friend.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 11th from 4-8pm at Hutchens-Stygar Funeral Home. Mass will be held on Monday, January 12th at 11am at Sts. Joachim & Ann Catholic Church. Interment at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in LaVerne's name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
