John K. Kuhn, 63 of Fort Wayne, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Stillwater Hospice in Fort Wayne.

He was born on December 2, 1962 in Angola.  John was a graduate of Elmhurst High School in Fort Wayne.   

John always had a strong work ethic and enjoyed working.  As a teen he worked at the iconic B & B Loan Company pawn shop in Fort Wayne.  He later became a master electrician and worked for 35 years at M & S Electric before moving to Eagle Contracting for the last five years of his working life, with over 40 years in the trade.  Much of his time was spent doing electrical work at the Towne House Retirement Community in Fort Wayne, which he really enjoyed and where he created many lasting relationships.  He also operated his own electrical business on the side, Kuhn Electric. 

John enjoyed bowling and he always enjoyed taking his kids to Cedar Point and Pine Lake in his free time.

His mother, Lou Ann Burry of Fort Wayne.

Daughter, Tanya Kuhn of Fort Wayne.

Son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Tonya Kuhn of Fort Wayne.

Daughter, Tiffany Kuhn of Fort Wayne.

Daughter, Amanda Kuhn of Fort Wayne.

14 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Sister and brother-in-law, Diana and David McAlexander of Fort Wayne.

Half-brother, Johnny Burry of Fort Wayne.

John was preceded in death by his father, Charles Kuhn III; his wife, Susan Kuhn and two brothers, Charles Kuhn IV and Gregory Kuhn.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at Pleasant Lake Community Church, 5142 South Old US Highway 27 in Pleasant Lake. 

Funeral services will be held following the visitation at 1:00 PM on Saturday at the church.

Burial will take place at Eddy Cemetery, Hamilton.

Memorial donations may be made to the Kuhn Family to help with expenses.
