Jean Irene Miller Obituary
Jean Irene (Fassnacht Reifsnyder) Miller, 88, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Susquehanna Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Columbia, Pennsylvania.
Jean was born July 7, 1937, and reared in Ephrata by the late John Snader and Helen (née Shirk) Fassnacht and was the wife of the late Jackson W. Miller.
She was a graduate of Ephrata Senior High School. Throughout her life, Jean held a number of jobs, but her primary focus was on helping others in need. She very much enjoyed her cats. When her children were young, she enjoyed time spent hiking and camping. She had a crafty sense of humor and will be remembered as someone who could make people laugh.
She leaves her two daughters, Amy Lynn Reifsnyder, of New Mexico, Bonita “Bonnie” Sue (née Miller) Noll, of Ephrata; eight grandchildren, Charity Noll, Heather Noll, Jeremy Noll, Nic Heister, Shane Heister, Laurel Reifsnyder, Amelia Reifsnyder, Sawyer Reifsnyder; 14 great-grandchildren. Jean was especially close to her great-granddaughters, Alexis Mellinger, Vennice Drennan, and Samara Drennan. The sisters had lived with Jean and Jack for many years.
In addition to her second husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Anthony “Tony” Jay Reifsnyder; two sons, Jeffrey Lynn Reifsnyder and Paul Douglas Reifsnyder Heister and a granddaughter, Abigail Christine Drennan.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 1 to 2 PM, at Stradling Funeral Home, 201 Church Avenue, Ephrata, followed by her funeral service at 2 PM, with Pastor Sawyer Reifsnyder officiating. Interment will take place in Memory Gardens Memorial Cemetery.
Jean didn’t much care for the cold, and often said she wanted to be buried in a pair of men’s green socks so she’d be comfortable in the afterlife. In honor of her concern for others and their feet, memorial donations can be made in her name to Ephrata Area Social Services, 227 N State St, Ephrata, PA 17522.
