Edwina Turner, 100, of Crossett, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 3, 2026. She was born on September 6, 1925, in Success, Arkansas.


Mrs. Turner lived a long and meaningful life marked by hard work, love, and devotion to God and her family. She was married to her beloved husband, Drew James Turner, for 73 years, sharing a lifetime of memories, commitment and partnership.


She was an exceptional cook of any type of wild game and took pride in gathering family for Sunday dinners.  Edwina will be remembered for her kind spirit and gentle, loving heart. She never met a stranger and welcomed everyone with open arms.  Mrs. Turner was a long-time member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, her life was a beautiful example of devotion, strength, and love. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.


Mrs. Turner is preceded in death by her parents, John William Laughlin and Trixie Weaver Laughlin;  husband, Drew Turner;  sons, James Coleman Turner and Dennis Bruce Turner, Sr., along with seven siblings. She leaves behind her brother; Mack Laughlin (Betty) of Texas; sister, Peggy Nyswonger; daughter-in-law, Kathleen Turner; grandchildren, Kimberly Burt (Justin) of Oklahoma, City, Jennifer Daniel (Dave) of North Carolina, Julie Morden (Kenny) of El Paso, AR., Bruce Turner, Jr. of Crossett, Michael Turner (Stephanie) of West Monroe, and six great grandchildren along with three great- great grandchildren.


A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, January 8th at Medders Funeral Home, 1564 Hwy 52 W. Crossett, AR., with Bruce Turner, Jr. officiating.


Visitation will be held from 1:30-2:00 p.m. at Medders Funeral Home prior to the service.
