Margaret Kathleen “Kathy” Gore, age 75, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2026, at her home. She was born February 15, 1950, in Midland, Michigan, the daughter of Harrison and Edith (Husted) McClain. Kathy was a 1968 graduate of Shepherd High School and married Thomas Gore on August 29, 1970.

She worked for many years as a waitress at Little Chef in Mt. Pleasant and was currently working for her children at the Family Tree Café’s in Dewitt and Laingsburg. Kathy enjoyed reading, doing jigsaw puzzles and watching True Crime.

Kathy is survived by a daughter Rebecca Gore; daughter-in-law Michele Gore; grandchildren Michael, Nathan, Hannah, Dylan, Eagan, Raelyn, Maggie, Audra, Maveric; and sisters Susan Pierce, Linda Timmer, Merle Reisinger.

She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas; son Dameon Gore; granddaughter Emily; her parents; three brothers and one sister.

Per the families wishes, cremation has taken place with no services to be held at this time. Those desiring may make contributions to help the family with final expenses.
