Betty Sue Raley, 75, passed away on January 3, 2025. She was born on June 27, 1950, to Scott Speed and Helen Grace Spangler in Magee, Mississippi.


She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Wayne Speed and Scottie Speed; sister, Catherine Sasnett; and grandchild, Bryant Raley.


Betty Sue is survived by her husband, Bill Raley Jr.; son, Timothy Spears (Tonya); daughters, Kimberly Carr, and Teena Rutherford (Tommy); brothers, Thurman Speed and Ernie Speed; thirteen grandchildren, Sheena Ryals, Robert Everitte Jr., Ashley Page, Christopher Page II, Shantel Wilson, Danielle Moreland, Johnny Page, Destiny Hudson, Adam Carr, Unique Spears, Timothy Spears II, Tiffany Spears, and Titus Spears; twenty-five great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.


Betty Sue enjoyed watching football, Nascar racing, going to the casinos, and cooking. She was a workaholic. She worked at The Waffle House for over thirty years. She was loved by all of her many friends and family. Betty Sue loved her family very much and will be deeply missed.


The service will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2025, at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee, MS at 2:00 PM.
