Mark "Kevin" Leonard Obituary

Kevin Leonard, age 67, went to be with His Lord on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born April 7, 1958 to Jeannette Morrell. He worked at Raytheon for 15 years. He loved farming and playing the piano at church. He was of the Baptist faith, and attended Gunnings Baptist Church. He had served on several boards, some of which include Farm Bureau, Southern States and currently F.S.A. For the last 30 years he drove a school bus for the Washington County Schools. His five grandchildren were the apple of his eye. He loved to teach them about farming and following the Lord.


He is preceded in death by his father, Roy Morrell and grandparents, Sam and Bessie Boling. Survivors include his wife, Susan Leonard of 43 years; daughter, Megan Ross; son, Brandon and wife Krysten; grandchildren, Abbey, Lexi, Easton, Paisleigh and Wylder; mother, Jeannette Morrell; sister, Mitzie Brown and husband John; and special niece, Hannah Brown "Herbie".


The funeral service will be held 7:00 pm Wednesday, January 7, 2026 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with “My” Pastor David Scott and Pastor Bob Ferguson. The family will receive friends prior to the service Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. The burial will be 11:00 am Thursday in Campground Cemetery with Pastor Dalton Elliott officiating. Pallbearers will be Donnie Hause, Tim Scott, Benji Shaffer, Clint Steele, Jim Harrison, Charles Leonard, and John Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Lewis Minton, Chuck Miller, Dwain Miller, Grady Hause, Wyatt Lester, Mason Mumpower, and Robbie Culberson.
