Jeanette Muhle, 98 years, of Fremont, NE passed away Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Methodist Fremont Health.

Jeanette was born June 26, 1927, in Lyons NE to Edwin and Ethel (Kessler) Jacobson.

Jeanette moved to Walthill, NE upon graduation and worked for a local attorney. She met her husband, Robert Muhle, by writing to the local boys who were serving in the military. She and Bob started a romance and were married in 1945 in St. Augustine, FL. After her husband’s discharge from the Navy, they moved to Fremont.

Jeanette and Bob raised 4 daughters, and she also worked for 23 years at Fremont/Lincoln Grain. Upon her retirement, she found a love for making porcelain dolls which lead to 20 years of sharing her talents. Jeanette was a member of the Fremont Presbyterian Church (50+ years), Dodge County 4-H Council, 4-H Club leader, Lifetime member of the PTA and Presbyterian Circle.

She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Mark) Pimper of Longmont, CO, Karen (Brad) Detmer of Fremont, and Deb (Roger) Petersen of Fremont.

She is preceded in death by her husband Robert, her oldest daughter Janet (Kevin) Van Fleet of Dana Point, CA, Mother, Ethel Jacobson, sisters Phyllis (Clarence) Monnich of South Sioux City, NE, Genevieve (Loren) Hermelbracht of Bancroft, NE, and Irma Copple of Sioux City, IA; sisters-in-law Betty (Robert) Quigley of Milwaukee, OR and Goldie Reudink of Vancouver, WA.

She is the grandmother of 8, great grandmother of 22 and great great grandmother of 3. Her family lives all over the country and she will be greatly missed by all.

The visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.

There will be a private family service. Burial will be at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.

Memorials may be directed to the First Presbyterian Church in Fremont.
