Mrs. Barbara Dyson Beverly, 81, passed away Saturday (January 3, 2026) at HCA Florida Memorial Health in Jacksonville following a brief illness.
She was born in Ware County to the late Clarence Dyson and Eula Thornton Dyson. She was a homemaker most of her life but had worked as a sales associate at Belks for a number of years. She was a member of Hosanna Church in Waycross. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren more than life.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Franklin Truman “Frank” Beverly; and a host of brothers and sisters.
She is survived by two daughters, Robin Ricker (Bobby Sr.) and Amanda Preston (Freddie Jr.) both of Waycross; six grandchildren, Zac Bailey (Maisie), Emily Carter (Leye), Bobby Ricker, Jr. (Brianna), Mia Ricker, Darrien Denson (Iyahna), and Landon Preston; nine great grandchildren, Wylie Summers, Kenna Bailey, Rosie Carter, Cooper Ricker, Renzy Bailey, Rhett Ricker, Grier Ricker, Zion Tube, Lia’la Denson; a sister, Norma Jean Corbitt of Blackshear; a brother, Tommy Dyson (Mary) of Waresboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday (January 8, 2026) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Enon Cemetery in Blackshear. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 o’clock.
