Marjorie Ann (Eramo) Connelly, 85, of West Haven, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026. Born on May 22, 1940, in New Haven CT, she was the beloved daughter of Charles Eramo and Marjorie Marie (Nagel) Eramo. She preferred to be called Marge.
Marge grew up in Florida and Connecticut and graduated from Hamden High School. On June 4, 1960, she married the love of her life, Edward Connelly, with whom she shared many years of devotion, partnership, and family until his passing in February 2008.
Marge retired from Connecticut Laborer's Funds as the Assistant Administrator after over 35 years of ensuring members received the benefits they were entitled to.
Family was the center of Marge’s world. She leaves behind her four children, who were her greatest pride: Edward Connelly Jr. (wife Lisa), Barbara Leary (husband Jim), Marjorie Connelly Kelly (husband Kel), and Raymond Connelly. She was a loving and doting grandmother to Cameron Leary, Caitlin Leary, Megan Connelly, and Emma Connelly, each of whom brought her immense joy.
Marge also leaves behind her brother, Frank Eramo of Georgia, and her stepsisters, Patty Flegal of Texas and Peggy Warren of Florida. In addition, she leaves behind her nieces and nephews from the Eramo family that she remained close to throughout her life. She was predeceased by her husband Edward, as well as her brothers Raymond Eramo and Charles Jackish.
Those who knew Marge will remember her warmth, her quiet strength, and her deep love for her family. She had a gentle spirit, a generous heart, and a special fondness for her beloved cat, Magic, who was her constant companion. Over the years she developed a strong network of friends that meant a lot to her and supported her when needed.
Marge’s legacy lives on in the family she nurtured, the friendships she cherished, and the countless lives she touched with her kindness.
