Martha Ann Adams Obituary

Martha "Ann" Kilpatrick Adams passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026, at the Elizabeth House in Flat Rock NC with her daughter Vikki by her side. Her life is a testament to the power of resilience, determination, faith, and a generous spirit. Despite a childhood that was marked by challenges, she grew up resourceful and determined to forge a life of independence with a spirit of hope. She was willing to work hard to create a better life for herself and her children. As a young woman with three children, Ann found herself as a single parent. She met that challenge head on and raised her children successfully making certain each graduated from high school and had a strong work ethic instilled within them.

Ann is preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Lisa Ann Kilpatrick who was killed in a car accident at the age of 22; her mother Ruth Clayton Williams and three brothers: Boyce Williams, Jack Williams (Grace), and Danny Williams (Dottie).

Ann is survived by one brother, Larry Williams of Rossville, GA; a son Mike Kilpatrick (Rhonda) and daughter Vikki Givian of Horse Shoe; five grandsons Logan Kilpatrick (Brittany) of Raleigh NC, Dillon Kilpatrick of Simpsonville SC, Isaiah & Jacob Washington of Horse Shoe, and Grant Kilpatrick (Hannah) of Mills River. Ann was also blessed with several great grandchildren.

Ann was a member of Mud Creek Baptist Church for nearly 40 years where she accepted Jesus Christ as her savior and was baptized. She was employed for many years by Magnavox Corporation, then later Nypro Corporation.

Ann always fully embraced holidays and enthusiastically participated in the fun of dressing in costume for Halloween which she did right up until her last one! It thrilled her to bring excitement and fun to others whether they were family, co-workers, neighbors, or even strangers.

Though her life on earth has ended, her love remains—woven into every memory, every lesson, every act of kindness inspired by her example.
