Beverly Anne Jones Cummings, 77, Appling, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on January 3, 2026.

She was born in Augusta, Georgia on November 12, 1948, grew up in Augusta, Georgia, graduated from Richmond Academy High School and furthered her education at Augusta College, with a BBA in 1970, an MBA in 1990, had a minor in German and took computer sciences classes at August Tech. Approximately 8 years ago, she and her husband moved to Columbia County, built a home and settled there. Beverly retired from Proctor and Gamble, Augusta, Georgia after 32 years with them as a department secretary, administrative assistant and warehouse system programmer. She was a member of the National Secretary Association for the North Augusta Chapter and was nominated and achieved the award of Secretary of the Year. Beverly was Christian and Baptist by faith. Beverly was an academic achiever, loved studying and learning new things and working with and meeting new people. She played the piano and gardening and loved to travel, especially traveling to spend time with family in Florida, Germany and California.

Mrs. Cummings is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Edward “Ed” Jones and Sarah Louise Bevil Jones. Her survivors include her husband of 53 years, Charles C. Cummings and her brother-in-law, Jack L. Cummings (Selwyn).
