SANDRA ELAINE HORRISON-FUNCHES entered this world September 21, 1964, born to Evangelist Mary L. Horrison and the late Earl H. Dillsworth. Raised in the heart of Leighton, Alabama, Sandra carried that small town love with her everywhere she went.
At an early age, Sandra gave her life to Christ at Cave Spring Missionary Baptist Church a faith that guided her life, her kindness, and her unwavering love for others. Sandra was preceded in death by her two children, Kiesha and little Victor; father, Earl H. Dillsworth; grandmothers, Sarah Mae Shoulders and Clara Dillsworth; and her sister, Tina Davis.
Those who knew Sandra knew this to be true: if you needed help, she was already on her way.
She was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who loved deeply, laughed freely, and never hesitated to lend a helping hand, sometimes before you even realized you needed one. If love were a currency, Sandra would have been wealthy beyond measure. On January 3, 2026, Sandra peacefully transitioned from her earthly home to her heavenly one. While we know heaven gained a beautiful soul, we will miss her here more than words can say.
Sandra leaves behind cherished memory with: her mother, Mary L. Horrison; daughter, Latoya E. Cole; six siblings, Patrick Horrison, Bobby Horrison, Samantha Horrison, Sabrina Gadd, Carolyn Dillsworth, and Angela Wilson; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. T hough her physical presence is no longer with us, Sandra’s love, laughter, and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Her life reminds us that kindness matters, faith carries us through, and that love, when given freely, never fades.
