James Daniels "Boone" Keeling Obituary

The Keeling family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of James Daniels Keeling, affectionately known as Boone, on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Boone was born on December 1, 1969, in Dyersburg, Tennessee. In 2010, his job transferred him to West Virginia, where he later retired from Quad after 37 years of dedicated service.

Boone loved hunting, dirt track racing, camping, and anything outdoors. He also enjoyed traveling and meeting new people. He never met a stranger and had a charm that made everyone feel instantly loved and accepted. Boone was a former volunteer firefighter, a valued member of the Falling Waters River Lots family, and attended Hope Community Church.

Boone is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly Ann Keeling; five daughters, Megan Keeling, Newbern, TN, Kayla Wright (Justin), Troy, TN, Cayce Martin, Hedgesville, WV, Candice Miller (Ricky), Hedgesville, WV, Kendall Brown (Cole), Belmont, NC, and one son Ryan Martin, Hedgesville, WV. He is also survived by one sister, Connie Hopper (Tank) of Hornbeak, TN; two brothers, Stone Keeling (Kim) of Ridgely, TN, and Houston Sills of Ridgely, TN; and nine grandchildren: Jace, Hattye, Laiken, Hazye, Collins, Nathan, Cora, Camdyn, and Clara, along with several nieces and nephews.

Boone was preceded in death by his father, James B. Keeling; his mother, Doris Keeling; and his beloved “Pap,” Robert Martin.

Family will receive friends Monday, January 5, 2026 from 6-8PM at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel.
