FAIRHAVEN — Carol Ann (Morrell) Brown, 73, of Fairhaven, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Royal of Fairhaven, following a lengthy period of declining health.

She was the widow of Stephen Brown and the daughter of the late Nathan and Irene (Reynolds) Morrell.

Born in New Bedford, Carol resided there for most of her life and the past 13 years in Fairhaven. 

Many years ago, Carol Ann was employed as a packer in the Golf Division of the Acushnet Company. Knitting was among her favorite pastimes, and she found comfort and enjoyment in the simple pleasures of home and family.

She is survived by her son, Robert D. Morrell of Wareham; her two daughters, Linda Guaragna and her husband, Joseph, of Wareham, and Elizabeth Brown of New Bedford; her step-daughter, Lisa Brown of New Bedford; four grandchildren, Daimen Silverio, John Guaragna, Jordyn Morrell, and Brandon Morrell;  2 step-grandchildren, Stephanie and Courtney and three nephews.

Carol Ann was predeceased by her brother, Robert Morrell.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 11 from 1:00-3:00 P.M. will a service to be conducted in the funeral home at 2:00 P.M.   Expanded parking area and  handicap-accessible entrance to the rear of the funeral home.
