Reunited with Leonard, her beloved husband of 61 years, Mary Lou E. Cyr, 92, of Loch Lomond Villa, Saint John, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 3, 2026. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Florence Dobson.
Mary Lou retired from Canadian Tire after many years. She was a member of Harmoney Church and formerly Silver Falls United Church. She was a volunteer to countless organizations with her many friends at the villa. She also enjoyed her Red Hatters and UCW.
Feisty and fun loving, Mary Lou will be sadly missed by her daughter Sharon Mitchell of Moncton, her son Mark Cyr (Sylvie) of Saint John, grandchildren Chantal (George), Leigh, Lori (James), Michael (Brittany), and great grandchildren Jackson, Audrey, Nick and Reid. She will also be missed by her step grandchildren Richard (Kimberly), Gregeory (Alanna), and Corey (Meghan), and step great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers in memory of Mary Lou, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB, with visitation being held on Friday, January 9, 2026, between the hours of 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. in the Fundy Chapel.
