Carrol Dean Lamb Obituary

Carrol Dean Lamb, 94, widower of Eva Mae Player Lamb, died Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Prisma Health Tuomey.


Born December 18, 1931, in Carlsbad, NM, he was a son of the late Norma Effie Lamb Baker. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Lamb was a member of the Sumter Church of God of Prophecy. He was a retired pastor and also retired from Santee Print Works after more than 30 years of service. He loved nature and enjoyed spending time outdoors.


Survivors include five children, Jimmy C. Lamb (Gloria), Carolyn Jo Reece (Ronnie), Steve Lamb (Carolyn), Jerry Lamb (Andrea), and Greg Lamb, Sr. (Fran); eighteen grandchildren; forty-six great grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren; one brother, Daniel Baker; three sisters, Ruby Fatherree, Noweta White, and Nellie Turner; and numerous nieces and nephews.


In addition to his wife and mother, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Linda Lamb.


Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Bishop Edward Fleming, D. Min. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.


Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.


The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. (Noon) to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home.
