JoAnn DePasquale Turner, 75, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2025, following a brief illness.
Born and raised in the Bronx, New York, JoAnn made her home in Port St. Lucie, Florida in 1983, where she became a devoted and active member of the community for more than 43 years. She built a life rooted in family, friendship, and deep community ties.
JoAnn had a creative eye and a joyful spirit. She found great happiness in photography, capturing moments and memories that reflected her love for family and friends. A lifelong New York Yankees fan, she rarely missed a game and proudly shared that passion with those around her. Above all else, JoAnn’s greatest love was her family, who were always at the center of her world.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph; her mother, Olive; her husband, Jim; and her sister, Pat.
JoAnn is survived by her significant other, Steve; her children, Marc (Allisyn), Ken, Tom (Carolyn), Mike (Vicki), and Tracy; her grandchildren, Justin (Jasmine), Rashawn, Ryan, Aiden, Emma, Ella, Anthony, Zachary, and Michael; and her great-grandson, Beckham.
In keeping with JoAnn’s wishes, there will be no public service. Those who wish to honor her memory are invited to make a donation to The Humane Society of St. Lucie County, reflecting her compassion and love for animals.
