Keith Wantland Obituary

Keith William Wantland was born to Leo Wantland and Louise Rae. Our dad was an amazing man.

He made a career at the telephone company in Globe, Arizona, starting in 1957, where he worked his way up to supervisor before retiring in 1990. Keith gave us such a good life.

He married our mom, Audrey, in 1972. They had 54 awesome years of marriage, best friends. He loved singing "you are my sunshine" to her.

Dad loved the hunting trips with his sons and grandsons. He spoiled his girls and granddaughters, still calling us his babies.

In 1994 dad accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He thought of that as the best accomplishment of his life. He wanted everyone to know the Lord. He attended Sovereign Grace Baptist Church in Globe, Arizona, with pastor John Skaggs. He loved all his church family.

On Saturday, January 3, 2026 dad passed way at the home of his daughter and son in law, ( Keith and Leslie) and went home to be with the Lord. Mom was by his side holding his hand.

Dad is survived by: his wife, Audrey; his children, Randy Woods (Susan), Jeff Wantland (Kristin),  Karie Hackler, Leslie Sweet (Keith), Sherrie Barkley (Jerry) and Kelly Acosta, (Joe); his sister Phyllis Smyers; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren, who brought him much joy and happiness.

We miss you Dad, we love you, and we thank you for showing us what a husband, father, and Christian should be. We love this man more than words can say.

Thank you Briana, Marisa and all of Eden Healthcare Hospice. You were so good to Dad.

As Dad wished there will be no services.
