Charles “Charlie” Kissinger, 78, of Union, MO passed away Saturday, January 3, 2026.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Kissinger (nee’ Kliethermes) of Union; eight children: Danny Kissinger and wife Christine of Omaha, NE, Darren Kissinger and wife Randee of Union, Dale Kissinger and wife Jennifer of Beaufort, Dewayne Kissinger and wife Rebecca of Union, Dean Kissinger and wife Jamie of Sullivan, Paula Kissinger of Union, Donald Kissinger and wife Jennifer of Union, and Michael Kissinger of Pacific; daughter-in-law, Rachel Kissinger of St. James; 18 grandchildren; one brother, David Kissinger and wife Sharon of Poplar Bluff; one sister, Joyce Henson and husband Terry of Richland; three brothers-in-law: Kenneth Kliethermes and wife Sharon of Linn, Virgil Kliethermes of St. Elizabeth, and Victor Kliethermes of St. Elizabeth; three sisters-in-law: Dorathey Herx and husband Jerry of Iberia, Mickey Herzing and husband Dave of Freeburg, and Karen Pigg of Westphalia; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by one son, Douglas Kissinger; his parents, Berlin and Ruby (nee’ Peterson) Kissinger; one sister in-infancy; parents-in-law, Leo and Lorraine (nee’ Volmert) Kliethermes; and brother-in-law, Keith Pigg.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Union with Rev. Peter Blake officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the I.C. St. Vincent de Paul Society or Masses.
