Catherine Mae Robertson, 80, of Meyersdale, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 3, 2026.
Born August 30, 1945 in Meyersdale, the daughter of Ralph and Beulah "Boots" (Francis) Brown. She is preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law: George "Buddy" Grimm; and great granddaughter, Georgia Grimm; brother-in-law: Ronald Fidler.
She is survived by her loving family: husband of 60 years, John Robertson; daughters: Tracey Kearns and husband Rick, Gayle Kirchner and husband Mark, and Katie Billy and husband Chuck, all of Meyersdale; grandchildren: Collin Strong, Meyersdale, Emily Weyant and husband Austin, Vienna, OH, Seth Grimm and wife Ashley, Morgantown, W.Va, and Zane Billy and girlfriend Audrey Peri, Pittsburgh; great grandchildren: Nolan, Walker, Ellis, and Ruthè Mae Weyant. She is also survived by her sisters: Linda (Bill) McKenzie, and Deborah (Fred)Yutzey, sister-in-law: Rita Fidler, and numerous nieces and nephews.
After high school, she worked in Washington D.C., then became a registered nurse and retired from Meadow View Nursing Center in Berlin as the Assistant Director of Nursing. Catherine was the first woman borough council president of Meyersdale Borough. She was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan, who never missed a game, a talented seamstress and "the best cook in Meyersdale".
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, at Price Funeral Service, Meyersdale, where the funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Pastor Eric Shaulis officiating, with a service by the Nurse Honor Guard and Pastor Eric Shaulis officiating. Interment to follow at Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Meyersdale Area Ambulance Association, 615 Salisbury St., Meyersdale, PA 15552.
