Paul, Lorne Andrew – Age 62, Millbrook, passed away on January 3, 2026, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, surrounded by his extended family and close friends. He was born in Truro, NS on August 1, 1963.

Lorne is survived by his wife, Michelle Gloade; daughter, Juliana Paul and her mother, Elizabeth Paul; his daughter, Chenoa Levi and her children, Noah and Phoebe; godchildren, Eva Adema, Keith Paul Jr., Jared Paul and his special kwis, Justin Gloade.

He is also survived by his siblings, Eldon Paul, Kim Paul, Leeanne Maloney, Audrey Mayes, Ann Marie Marchand, Jenny, Lisa, Billie Jo, Tracey, Jackie and John Henry Knockwood, Al Francis, Brian Knockwood and Wendy Gehue.

Lorne was predeceased by his parents, Henry S. and Leona V. Paul; his biological parents, Geraldine Paul and Clarence Knockwood; his siblings, Keith Paul, Kenneth Paul, Shawn Maloney, Mark Howe, Clarence Jr., Ann Margaret and Cyrilla Knockwood.

Lorne was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved travelling to new and exciting destinations and fishing for different species of fish around the world. He was a huge sports fan – hockey, baseball, golf and, much to Michelle’s annoyance, darts.

He worked at Millbrook Band in the Construction Department for over 30 years and most recently held the title of Director of Housing and Public Works.

Lorne had a personality that was larger than life and if he loved you, you knew. He will be missed by many.

Wakes will be held on Tuesday, January 6th from 2-4pm and 6-9pm and on Wednesday, January 7th from 2-4pm and 6-9pm in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 8th at 11am in Sacred Heart Church, Millbrook with Father Jim O’Connor officiating. Webcasting will begin at 10:58am (AST). Salité will follow in the Nora Bernard Community Centre, Millbrook.
