Ronald G. Boeding, 81, of West Point, IA, passed away at 3:38 a.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in Fort Madison following a sudden illness. He was born on March 11, 1944 in Fort Madison, IA to Louis & Dorothea Wilbert Boeding. He married Jean Ann Reis Vogel on May 16, 1992 in Montrose, IA. He owned and managed Ron’s Supermarket in Fort Madison until he closed the store and retired in September of 1999. In retirement, he worked at G.E. in Burlington, Mike Sanders Masonry and Ty’s Greenhouse. He was a member of Holy Family Parish and the Knights of Columbus and served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He enjoyed fishing, trapping, woodworking and spending time with family and at the cabin with friends.

Ron is survived by: his wife: Jean Boeding of West Point, IA; 3-step children: Jackie (Dave) Demler of Canton, IL, Jenny (Ryan) Larmore of Montezuma, IA & Joshua Vogel of Cedar Rapids, IA; 5-grandchildren: Faith & Ella Demler and Allyson, Kylee & Lauryn Larmore. He was preceded in death by: his parents, stepfather, Syd Schultz and a brother, Roger Boeding.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Sacred Heart Church. A memorial mass will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Gary Beckman officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Cemetery. A memorial has been established to Holy Family Parish.
