“Soldier On”

Wells, Zachary, 29 Years old, passed away at home on 25 November 2025. Leaving to mourn his parents, Traci and Reagan Wells; sister, Olivia; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members. As well as his direct family, he leaves to mourn his Canadian Armed Forces family and the MMA community he grew to love, Spartan Strike Academy, Platinum Training Facility and Wolfhouse MMA.

Zachary was a dedicated and dependable soldier whose positive spirit uplifted those around him every day. He approached every challenge with initiative, pride, and a sincere commitment to personal and professional growth. Whether supporting his team in the harsh conditions of the Arctic or contributing to essential training, he carried himself with humility and an unwavering sense of purpose. His leadership, reliability, and genuine kindness left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of serving alongside him. Cpl Wells’ character, work ethic, and generosity will be deeply missed, but his impact and example will continue to inspire us.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Canadian Forces Base Edmonton Jr Ranks Mess (Lamplighter Room) on December 9, 2025 from 3:00pm-5:00pm. 

The Military Funeral service will be held in his home town of St Thomas, ON, December 11, 2025 at 2:00pm, located in 31 Combat Engineer Regiment (The Elgin’s) Armouries 40 Wilson Ave. St. Thomas.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that all donations be made out to the Canadian Forces Base Edmonton Junior Ranks Mess, of which Zachary was a proud member and leader.

Inurnment will take place at a later date.
