On November 12, 2025 the beloved matriarch of the Molyneux family, Patricia Molyneux, passed away at the age of 93.

Pat was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Jack Molyneux. She will be missed by her seven children: John (Jo Ann Chapman), Joanne (Jack O’Bryan), Heather (Darryl Spenser), Bernice, Gayle (Peter Drechsler), Michelle (Richard Guile) and Dave the Dude. Great Granny Good Witch leaves behind twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren who were her greatest joy. She will also be remembered by her brothers Johnny and Patrick Hughes, her sister Donna Guestford and all of her nieces and nephews.

She passed on to us all a love of reading and hockey. She taught us the value of giving and volunteering. She taught us that yes, Nanaimo bars should have double the filling, and to always take a trash bag on your walk to pick up garbage. But perhaps most significantly, she taught us the importance of having a dog or cat in your life- ‘Granny meat pockets’ was a fan favorite to all the canines that passed through her kitchen.

Growing up in Warfield BC Pat was a true Trail Smoke Eater. She married Jack in 1952 and in August 1965, together, they made the trek to Kamloops in a Volkswagen van with six kids, a dog, and a cat with a litter of kittens. When she saw those rolling Kamloops hills she knew she was home.

Pat’s favorite place to be was in her garden, with her crows. She always had enough food grown to feed her brood, and to share with friends and strangers alike. Many a feast was enjoyed around her table, and she will live on in her recipes passed down.

The family would like to thank Lana Loveseth and all of her wonderful neighbours who helped us keep mom in her cherished home of 60 years. All the Marks, Lisa, Sandra, Shannon & Calvin, Maude and James Dent. There are too many to mention, if it was her oven, air conditioner, snow clearing or took the time to chat there was always someone there. We couldn’t have done it without you! Also, the all of the wonderful staff at Sun Rivers who took exceptional care of our mom this past year. We cannot thank you all enough.
