Jerry Keith Holland Obituary

Longtime Sterling resident, Mr. Jerry K. Holland, 86, died Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at his home in Sterling, Alaska.


A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th between 3 to 4 pm at Peninsula Memorial Chapel – 5839 Kenai Spur Hwy – Kenai, Alaska


Jerry was born May 28, 1939, in Anson, Texas. He attended school through high school in Texas and furthered his education by attending some college. Afterwards he joined the Air Force in 1957 and was active duty until he was discharged in 1960. Jerry married his wife Patsy in 1962 and started a family. Jerry and family moved from Levelland Texas where he farmed cotton to Alaska in December 1968. Initially living in Anchorage and moved to Soldotna in the Summer of 1976.


Jerry worked various jobs early in his career such as Fireman and Postman in Anchorage. He eventually became a Real Estate Agent working both in Anchorage and on the Kenai Peninsula. Jerry also started Aardvark Pumping and Excavating in the early 80's through 2009. He retired in Sterling area in 2009. Jerry was a founding member of the Funny River Road Church of Christ where he attended to the end.

Jerry loved flying, hunting, and fishing. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed entertaining guests, and his church family.


The family wrote, “He loved making peanut brittle and homemade ice cream. He and Patsy enjoyed making and distributing many other candies to local businesses and friends during the holidays over the years.”


He was preceded in death by his mother, Beuna Stahl Holland/ Barton; stepfather, Frank Barton; sisters, Myree Mopps, Billie Walge and Margie Holland; brother, Bob Holland.


Jerry is survived by his wife, Patsy Mae Holland Kauffman of Sterling; daughters, Barbara Rea Holland of Sterling and Jana Topp Holland of Soldotna; son, Bryan Keith Holland of Sterling, 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and brother, Tom Holland of Sterling.
