Eric Beaudry Obituary

Above all, Eric was a kind and loving soul—an artist in his own right.

Sadly, Eric passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 12, 2025. He will be remembered with love by his parents, Edmond Beaudry and Rosemarie Proteau; his sister, Sylvie Beaudry (Charles Pantel); his brother, Joël Beaudry; and his nieces and nephews, Jérémie Pantel (Gabrielle Desrochers), Stéphanie Pantel (Spencer Stanley), and Aleksi Pantel. He will also be missed by his daughter, Alexandra Pinel, and her mother, Stéphanie Pinel. Eric is further remembered by his birth mother, Alice Nepinak, his half-sister, Sheri Nepinak, as well as his longtime friend, Rhonda Good.

He is predeceased by his half-brother Joshua Nepinak.

Eric spent his early years at the lake, Plage Albert, where he was happiest in the water. He loved to swim, fish, and bike along the trails. His artistic talent shone through in his drawings and pottery, and later as a tattoo artist, leaving his mark on many who sat for hours under his detailed, intricate designs.

He was especially proud of his career as a flooring installer. A true perfectionist, Eric was highly sought after for his skill, precision, and creative eye. His flooring designs can be found throughout the city of Winnipeg in office buildings and hospitals, a lasting testaments to his craftsmanship.

Fishing remained one of Eric’s greatest passions. He spent countless hours along the banks of the Red River with friends and family, reeling in catfish and pike—many of them Master Anglers that made their way into the Manitoba Game and Fish record books. Fishing brought him joy, peace, and a deep connection to nature. It was his happy place.

Eric also loved to skateboard and cycle around the city, quickly becoming known as the neighbourhood bicycle mechanic. In winter, he traded wheels for a snowboard. One of his proudest moments came in Banff, when he accidentally found himself on a black-diamond run and made it down without a single mishap—his smile stretched from ear to ear.

Though Eric faced many struggles in his short life, he is remembered for the love and kindness he shared so freely—and for his unforgettable bear hugs. He often used them to soften trouble or get what he wanted, but most of all, he hugged with a grin and a heartfelt “je t’aime… I love you.”

Repose en paix, coco. Rest in peace, Eric, and may the Creator embrace you.

In tears we saw you sinking,

We watched you fade away,

You suffered much in silence,

You fought so hard to stay,

You faced your task with courage,

Your spirit did not bend,

But still you kept on fighting

Until the very end.

God saw you getting tired,

When a cure was not to be,

So He put His arms around you,

And whispered, "Come to Me".

So when we saw you sleeping

So peaceful, free from pain,

We could not wish you back,

To suffer that again.

You didn't deserve what you went through,

So He took you home to rest.

God's garden must be beautiful,

For He only takes the best.
