Laura Rogers, 60, of Peru, passed away at 9:30 AM, Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at her residence. She was born in Peru, Indiana on January 30, 1965, the daughter of Thomas and Betty Knight Rogers. Laura was a 1983 graduate of Peru High School and attended the Trinity Baptist Church. Laura is survived by her mother Betty; children Andy Smith of Peru, Katrina Smith of Peru, Stephanie (Andrew) Holt of Crawfordsville, Jennifer Smith of Crawfordsville, and Blake Cooper of Peru; several grandchildren; Phoebe Smith, Zamien Smith, Addison Pegg, Alex Pegg, Dustin Pegg, Katelynn Holt, Lindsey Holt, Eva Holt, Andrew Holt, Nathan Holt, Hannah Holt, Kayden Smith, Xavier Biggs, Derrick Biggs, Breanna Biggs and Jonathan Biggs and siblings Darlene Lyke of Claypool, Tommy Rogers of Muskegon, MI, and David Rogers of Peru. She was preceded in death by her father Thomas and a son Derrick Smith. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 29, 2025, at the Mt. Hope Cemetery, 411 N. Grant St. Peru. Following the burial, there will be a Celebration of Life held at 12:00 Noon, to honor Laura at the Cornerstone Fellowship Church, 3054 W. 400 N., Peru. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home to offset funeral expenses.
