Viola Jones
January 23, 1959 – November 12, 2025

     It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Viola Jones who died on November 12, 2025 at the age of 66

     Viola Jones, born January 23, 1959 in St. Louis, Missouri to Otha Lee and Vernell Jones, graduated from Vashon high school in St.Louis, Missouri in 1979. After the birth of her only child Tamaka Jones she began her career as an administrative assistant at the main post office in St. Louis Mo. In 1989, she moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, to be closer to her family. Where she began her career in the culinary arts industry taking on various roles throughout the years. Viola was known for her warm smile and love of travel, creating unforgettable life experiences and cherishing time with her family. She is survived by her daughter Tamaka, grandchildren Creativity, King Solace, and Jamese, brothers Otha and William (Cynthia), sister Vernita (Venard), and many nieces and nephews, family members, and friends. She is preceded in death by Otha Lee and Vernell Jones (Father and Mother) and Ricky Lee Jones (brother).

 

A memorial service will be held on December 12th, 2025 at 2pm at 2701 Central Ave N.E, Mpls, MN 55418.
