Robert Eugene Hobbs, age 45, of Folkston, Georgia, tragically passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, in Macclenny. He was born in Jacksonville on December 30, 1979, to Denise Ratterree and Robert Samuel Godwin. 
Robert enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, listening to classic country music, and cheering on the Florida Gators. Like all of us, life gave him his share of good times and bad. During the good times, he devoted as much time as possible to caring for his family.  
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Godwin; grandfather, Bobby Lee Godwin; grandmother, Elsie Tyre; and aunt, Barbara Brown. Survivors include his sons, Robert E. Hobbs Jr., Jesse Hobbs, and Waylon E. Hobbs; daughters, Haylee Hobbs and Hayden Hobbs, all of Macclenny; grandmother, Joann Godwin; mother, Denise Ratterree; brothers, James Godwin (Ashley), Randy Brainard (Michelle), both of Jacksonville and Zachary Godwin and Jesse Godwin of Maxville; sisters, Melissa Godwin, Lindsey Godwin and Tabitha Godwin of Jacksonville; and grandchildren, Kaiden and Avery Wilkerson.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, in Manning Cemetery in Jacksonville.
