Darlene (Radovich) Johns Obituary

Darlene Johns, 76 of Hopewell Township passed away suddenly on November 12th 2025.  She was born on the Monaca/Rochester Bridge on March 24th, 1949. Darlene was the daughter of the late Mildred (Rebich) Radovich Bernier.  Being the youngest child, she was doted on greatly. Darlene expressed fond memories of attendance at Pirates games with her brother Nick, as well as lighthearted joshing with her brother Mitch. She was a constant companion to her sister Diana; however, her most relished role was that of Aunt. She treasured her time with numerous nieces and nephews along with her great nieces and nephews never failing to capitalize on her sense of humor and wit, such as pulling pranks at Xmas with secret Santa gifts.

Darlene had a soft spot for her late border collie Lancer.  During her brother's pastorate, she was an active member of Wildwood Chapel in Aliquippa, devoting her time and energy to summer vacation Bible School and Bible studies. Everyone who knew Darlene knew of her passion for the Pittsburgh Sports teams. She had an outspoken love for her favorite players, Troy Polamalu and Jaromir Jagr.

In her younger years she was an avid bowler participating in many leagues. Later in life, she kept her mind sharp by solving daily word puzzles. She will always be remembered as an avid reader and would always say, "reading takes you places you may never see!"

Darlene is survived by her brother Mitch Radovich (Ruthie), and numerous Nieces and Nephews and their children.  She was preceded in death by her brothers George, are Reverend Nick and Paul Radovich and her sister Diana Hribar.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Ball Funeral Chapel, Inc. 600 Dunster Street, Pittsburgh PA  15226.  A private memorial interment will be held for immediate family.  Memorial contributions can be made to the B.F. Jones Memorial Library, 663 Franklin Ave., Aliquippa PA  15001.
