Evelyn Visser

It is with sadness and relief that the family of Evelyn Visser (nee de Vos) announce her passing on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the age of 84, after suffering with Alzheimers for many years.

Evelyn was born in Hilversum, The Netherlands, on February 26, 1941.

She immigrated to Lethbridge, Alberta, in 1948, with her parents, sister Gerri, and brother Nick. Evelyn married her best friend, Bill, on October 19, 1963, and together they moved to Calgary the following year.

Evelyn will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Bill; sons, Jim and Jeff (fiance, Gaylene); grandchildren, Richard and Greg (Jen); and great-grandson, Ronin.

Evelyn was predeceased by her sister, Dini (brother-in-law, Cliff); sister, Gerri; brother, Nick; as well as Tricia (Jeff’s late wife) and Debbie (Jim’s late wife).

We wish to express our gratitude for the kind and loving care provided to Evelyn by the amazing staff of McKenzie Towne Memory Care for two years, and the staff of Silverado Creek Long Term Care for 4 years.

A Celebration of Evelyn’s Life will take place on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 1:00 pm, at Southview Alliance Church in the Legacy Centre.
