Kenneth Robert Lyle, born in Prairie City, Oregon and a lifelong resident of Prineville, Oregon, passed away on November 12, 2025, at the age of 75.
Robert grew up in Prineville, Oregon, and graduated from Crook County High School, class of 1968. Shortly after graduation, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and honorably served his country in the Vietnam War. Upon returning home, Robert furthered his education, attending Central Oregon Community College and the University of Oregon. In his early years, Robert enjoyed several hobbies, including woodworking, working on cars, and the study of archeology. He was always eager to lend a hand to his brother Bill around the property, and particularly enjoyed the task of caring for the heifers and taming the young calves. Robert was a private individual who largely kept to himself, but he cherished the time he spent with his friends and family.
Robert is survived by brothers Lanny (Ruthann) Lyle and Bill (Kim) Lyle. Nephew’s Roger (Lori) Lyle and David (Lucy) Lyle and Niece’s Terry (Randy) Stephens and Bari (Mike) Kuizenga. He is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Robert is preceded in death by parents Kenneth & Vera Lyle and niece Megan Lyle.
As per Robert’s request, no service will be held. His interment will take place privately at the Prineville Cemetery in Prineville, Oregon.
