Edward Barco departed in death Wednesday, November 12, 2025.

Edward Barco, son of the late Walter Barco, Sr., and Pearl Barco Wesley, was born October 14, 1933, in Camden County, North Carolina.

Ed was the third oldest of eight children. Both of his parents preceded him in death. Also, his brothers, Walter Barco, Jr., Franklin “Frank” Wesley, James “Honey” Wesley; and sister, Claudia Blakney.

Ed was educated at a school for the blind in Durham, North Carolina; Helen Keller, Sands Point, New York; and briefly at Elwyn in West Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Ed had many talents. He enjoyed reading his braille books, cultivating his own vegetables garden, threading needles, cutting his own hair, and babysitting many of his nephews and nieces. There’s much more that haven’t been mentioned. Most of all, we love him and he will be missed for a long time.

Edward's fond memories will be cherished by his niece, Hattie Newby; sisters, Vivian Forbes, Ida Wesley; and brother, Willie Wesley (Linda Wesley, wife); many nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and close friends of the families.
