Michael Dean Brown Obituary

Michael Dean Brown, 61, passed away at Cardinal Care Strategies, Muncie, Indiana, on November 12, 2025.  Michael was born on February 22, 1964, the son of Alvin L. and Vontrice (Smith) Brown, in Danville, Indiana.

The family moved to Muncie, and then to Selma, Indiana, in 1968.  Michael graduated from Wapahani High School.  In his younger years, he was known as someone who loved to argue and was “onery” and a prankster, who seldom got in trouble because he was the baby of the family.

Growing up in Selma, he had a wonderful childhood.  He loved to fish at Prairie Creek Reservoir, enjoyed listening to country music, and blamed his older siblings for things he did to avoid getting into trouble.  Michael was a loving person with a special heart and soul.

Left behind to cherish his memory is his sister, Terri Conatser (Bradley), and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Vontrice, a brother, Jerry Brown, a sister, Jackie Hancher, a sister and brother-in-law, Jonell and Denny Carr, and a nephew, Nathan Kelly.

Per his wishes, Michael will be cremated, with no formal services.

The family would like to thank the staff of Cardinal Care Strategies, Muncie, for their kindness, compassion, and excellent care.
