Michael "Mike" Craig, 56, passed away on November 12, 2025, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Born on November 12, 1969, in the same city, Mike lived a life marked by service, humor, and a deep commitment to those around him.
Mike began his education at Norton Elementary School in Norton, Ohio, and later graduated from Franklin Regional High School in Murrysville, Pennsylvania. During his high school years, he proudly played football for the Franklin Regional Panthers—a passion that reflected his love for teamwork and camaraderie.
Following graduation, Mike enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Bliss in Texas. He served stateside throughout his tour of duty. His time in the military was a testament to his dedication and willingness to serve his country with honor.
After completing his military service, Mike pursued a career in food service and catering. Whether preparing meals or supporting events behind the scenes, he brought diligence and good humor to every task.
Mike was known for his generous spirit and could always be counted on to lend a helping hand. Whether assisting family members or stepping up for friends in need, he never hesitated when called upon. His sense of humor was ever-present—he loved telling stories and often embellished them just enough to make everyone laugh. Even when the joke was on him, Mike took it all in stride with a smile.
He held his Christian faith close throughout his life and kept a Bible at his bedside as a quiet reminder of what grounded him.
Mike is survived by his sister Kimberly Copeland (Mike), brother Todd Craig; nephew Stephen Carrigan; niece Kristina Balding (Paul); and great-nieces Johanna, Aspen, and Delainey Balding. He was preceded in death by his father James Craig and mother Sue Craig.
To those who knew him—as a brother, son, nephew, cousin, uncle, or friend—Mike was truly special. His warmth, laughter, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held on December 13, 2025, from 01:00 PM to 03:00 PM at Barrel House Kitchen & Bar (Private Room) 9640 Mason Montgomery Road. Date of interment with full military honors at Dayton National Military Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio TBD.
