Darren Paul Brady Stiles was born October 28, 1986 in Normal, Illinois and passed away November 12, 2025 at Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach, Florida. Darren spent his early years in Illinois attending school in Arrowsmith and Bloomington. He was especially close to his grandparents and cousins enjoying family gatherings, camping and travel. When his parents moved to Florida he attended school at Forest High School in Ocala.
Darren had many talents. He was a chef in several Daytona restaurants, did flooring installation, and was a fitness instructor. But the career he loved was as an arborist, whether cutting, supervising, or providing estimates for removal. When his health began to fail, he could no longer do this but dreamed of one day getting back into it. As a bit of an artist, he began providing tattoos to support himself and later worked a night shift at Serenity Springs, who accommodated his disability. His friend Robert shared that when Darren was into something, he was very passionate about it. You can see this in the drone videos he would take, and the RC Racing group he coordinated. He was meticulous about everything he put in his body as he did not want the cancer to win. He was a strong advocate for health screenings, listening to your body, sharing family medical history and how important early detection is, despite how uncomfortable procedures may seem.
Darren lost several friends to addictions. He worked very hard to become a man his mother and son would have been proud of. He created a community of family in the Daytona Beach area. The Fine Sober Living Environment where he lived, said that even after he became sick, he still wanted to help others however he could, and provide support in their recovery. So many people have come forward to share how much they loved him, how hard he fought against his cancer, and offered their prayers and support. I have personally found this comforting and thank you all.

When the disciples asked Jesus how they should pray, he instructed them in part to ask God, "... to forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us." We are to forgive others in the same way that God has forgiven us. Jesus came to show us our sins, convict us to change, and teach us the paths to righteousness; then He paid the price for our sins on the cross. Jesus came for the sick and broken hearted. On Wednesday November 12, 2025, Jesus came for Darren. Go rest high upon that mountain.
I love you forever,
Aunt Diane
