Elise D. Hawkins, 66 of Biddeford, Maine passed away on November 12, 2025 after a long illness.

Elise was born in Holden, Massachusetts to Pearl M. (Welch) Meagher and Maurice G. Caron. She graduated from Massabesic High School in Waterboro, Maine in 1978.

That same year, she met the love of her life and devoted husband, David and went on to have two children, son Zachary David and daughter, Afton Maeora.

Elise worked in retail and the hospitality industries for many years. She had a love for gardening and spent many hours growing beautiful flowers. The garden was her happy place. She also loved to cook and sew.

She is survived by her husband, David, son Zachary of Tampa Florida and daughter Afton and her husband Michael Cadorette of Waterboro, Maine. She is also survived by sisters, Sharon Hardy of Scarborough, Maine, Lorna Caron of Ruidoso, New Mexico , brothers M. Freeman Caron and wife, Lynn of Hollis, Maine and Stuart J. Caron of Biddeford, Maine. She was a proud grandmother of two grandsons and many extended family members and friends.

Arrangements are being made by Hope Memorial Chapel in Biddeford. Services will be private at Elise’s request with a celebration of life in the spring of 2026.
