3 Trees or Condolences have been sent in support of Wanda’s family — View on Tribute Wall
Wanda “Ruth” Allison went to be with the Lord on November 12, 2025. Ruth was born on March 12, 1934, in Blanchard Oklahoma to Grover and Anna McConnell.
Shortly after graduating high school, Ruth married Tommy Allison on July 8, 1952 while he was home on leave after completing basic training in the United States Navy. Just before celebrating their one-year anniversary, they had their first son, Thomas, and 16 months later had their second son, Paul.
For most of her life, Ruth was solely a dedicated homemaker; however, two different times she joined Tommy in the workforce. When the boys were young, she worked at C.R. Anthony’s to increase their family income and receive discounts on the boys’ school clothes. When Tommy retired from his work at the FAA, Ruth joined the workforce again to launch and own Allison Enterprises, their aviation consulting firm where Tommy taught others about aviation regulations and safety.
Ruth loved her family fiercely and loved spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She was a dedicated Christian who was still diligently studying and applying God’s word at 91. Ruth was a member of Central Baptist Church of Owasso. Her kindness, humility, wisdom, and sense of humor were unmatched.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 69 years Tommy Allison; parents Grover and Anna McConnell; her sisters Dorthy Alderson, Pauline Caves, and Bonnie Long; and her brothers Bill McConnell, L.D. McConnell, and Gene McConnell.
She is survived by her two sons, Thomas Allison of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Paul Allison and wife Sherry of Trinity, Texas; grandchildren Sean Allison and wife Sherry of Frisco, Texas, Kari Allison of Oklahoma City, Kevin Allison and wife Jessica of Rosharon, Ryan Allison and Kurt Allison, both of Pearland; great-grandchildren Justin Allison, Cheyenne Shelnutt and husband Griffin, Levi Allison, Tyler Allison, Alexis Allison, and Kienan Kurahashi-Allison; as well as two great-great grandchildren, Blakely and Presley Shelnutt, and a host of nieces and nephews.
