Ruth Messer Geiger Lanctot, 99, of Huntsville, died Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at her residence at The Care Center (formerly Millennium Care Center) in Huntsville, AL under Affinity Hospice care of Huntsville. Ruth was a bookkeeper for several businesses in her earlier life while living in Huntsville.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husbands, T.E. Jerry Geiger of Huntsville, and Richard Lanctot of Huntsville; daughters, Linda Judd of Memphis, TN and Diane Clark of Huntsville; sisters, Billie Louise MacLachlan of North Liberty, IA, and Sue Hass of Coeur d’Alene, ID; and brother, Henry Ross Messer of Picayune, MS.

She is survived by Richard’s daughter, Cathy and partner, Nancy, from Sheboygan, WI; son, Larry Geiger (Melinda) of Beverly Hills, FL; sons-in-law, Jim Judd (Sharon) of St. Louis, MO and Bill Clark of Huntsville; grandchildren, Alicia Jones (Chris) of Memphis, TN, Zach Judd (Amanda) of St. Louis, MO, Melissa Geiger of Beverly Hills, FL, Brady Geiger (friend, Julia) of Dunedin, FL, Will Clark (Laura) of Birmingham, AL, and Ben Clark (Lisa) of Huntsville; and great-grandchildren, Silas Clark, William Clark, Naomi Clark and Lily Jones.
