John R. Moseley, III, (52) passed away on November 12, 2025, in Decatur, Alabama.
Born on October 3, 1973, John was the son of Johnny R. Moseley, Jr., and Robin O’Neal. He earned his living as a Senior Field Supervisor at Eagle Fire, Inc., in Decatur, Alabama, and was known for his hard work and education.
John was an adventurous soul who loved his family and friends, playing the drums, and being on the water. He enjoyed spending his weekends boating, riding his jet ski, and cooking for his friends. He made a lasting impact on everyone who knew him and will be remembered for his compassion, generosity, and willingness to help others.
John is survived by his mother, Robin O’Neal; sisters, April M. Morley (Mike), Lacey M. Carroll (Phillip), Meredith M. Stiff (Adam); brother, Jacob Vince Moseley (Anna); nieces, Madeline, Ava, Olivia, and Maria Morley; nephews, Easton and Mac Anthony Carroll, Broughton Stiff, and his special little buddy, Hank.
John was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony S. Moseley; father Johnny R. Moseley, Jr.; grandparents, John Robert and Polly Moseley, and Jewell and Nora Lee Etheridge.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 beginning at 11:00 am at Myrtlewood Cemetery in Myrtlewood, Alabama, officiated by Kelly Etheridge, Jr.
Active Pallbearers are Phillip Carroll, Mike Morley, Jamie Singleton, J.C. Etheridge, Vince Moseley, and Ted Dunn, Jr.
Honorary Pallbearers and close friends include Gregg Singleton, Trevor Thornton, Cody Hampton, Chadd Voss, “Miss” Betty Weaver, “Miss” Peggy Nelson, Dr. William Sims, and Jeff Jeffers.
